Actor
Carley S. Robinson is an actor based in Ithaca, NY.
She creates visceral theatre: the kind of theatre that forces you to remember you're a human being with a body with other human beings in their bodies. Theatre that makes you ugly cry, laugh until your face hurts, that makes you unable to contain the whisper to the person next to you, unable to contain the mhmm’s and amen’s. Theatre that makes apathy impossible, theatre that makes you breathe different. Theatre that doesn’t allow people to escape reality, but to change it.
Facilitator
As an arts educator and community worker, Carley invites students and community members to access their inner expertise, and challenges them to see their stories as gifts to our community. Her work is to serve her community as much as it’s served her. Guided by principles of love and care for all community members, Carley strives to hold space for communities and individuals to be in conversation and pursue their best path forward.
“Carley Robinson brings Delia to life with an honest and raw flair. You’ll feel the internal struggle in Robinson’s line delivery and acting choices as the story unfolds — it’s compelling.”
